Half marathons were the City of Salisbury’s distance of choice last weekend.
At Chippenham, Aaron Wilson took a top ten finish with a time of 1hour 12min 58sec for the 13.1miles.
He was followed by Clive Smith in 1.32.18, Ian Shelley 1.39.48, Alison Scott 1.49.42 and Ben Paessler 1.49.44.
Among the massive field of 50,000+ taking part in the Great North Run from Newcastle to South Shields, Craig and Claire Weatherburn completed in the course in 2.44.34. Lee Syrett was close to his best with 1.25.28.
At the New Forest full marathon Phil Perry was the club’s only runner and he stopped the clock in 3.39.51.
The club’s new 5mile championship was based on the results of the massively attended (105 CoSarc finishers!) Overton league race. Very well done to all the ‘sea of blue’ runners there on the day.
