Salisbury runner wins in the States

City of Salisbury Athletics and Running Club’s (CoSARC), and former Salisbury Journal Athlete of the Year, Jaymee Domoney now represents Charleston Southern University, North Carolina writes Vasen Moodley.


He helped them win the Big South Conference XC Championship 8k for the second year running. Jaymee himself finished 6th from a field of 98 finishers, in a time of 24:56.

Will Ewens represents the Army at Abbey Dash

In the Newbury Racecourse Half Marathon, on a sunny and windy day, Richard Davidson won an exciting race in 1:23:47. As the race progressed the lead changed hands several times until mile 9, when Richard broke away and held on to win by seven seconds. Mike Mattingly finished in 1:49:22, and his wife Di was close behind in 1:51.


In the Newbury Racecourse 10K CoSARC was represented by Tom Lay 1:06:40, Anne Norman 1:07:28 and Vasen Moodley 1:24:05.


After a summer of wild swimming Linda Robson ran her first event in the Winchester 10K. In wet and stormy conditions, Linda finished in 52:53. Rebecca Combes competed in her first road race and finished in 55:27.


Will Ewens proudly represented the Army at the Inter Services 10k Abbey Dash in Leeds. He achieved a PB of 33:10 in the 10k, beating his previous best by 3 minutes.
