The 2019/20 season results from the Hampshire Road Race League have been deemed null and void following the COVID-19 outbreak.
There were 5 remaining races including the Salisbury 10 mile. The Salisbury 10 mile had already been cancelled and will now take place on 11 April 2021. Of the other remaining fixtures, Alton 10 mile has also been cancelled and will provisionally take place on 9 May 2021. Also cancelled is the Netley 10k which will now provisionally take place on 16 May 2021. Lordshill 10k and Alresford 10 mile are at the time of writing still currently scheduled to go ahead on 14 & 21 June 2020 respectively. If these two remaining races go ahead, they won’t count towards the HRRL results. All of the last 5 races mentioned above will definitely be the last 5 races of season 2020/21.
Sadly, there will not be any coveted mugs or t-shirts from the league for this season
We thank everyone involved in the HRRL for their time and congratulate athletes for their amazing efforts in the races that did take place. Hopefully we can look forward to all the great races next season.
