Event day information


Although certain parking restrictions will apply, there will be limited FREE parking available so PLEASE CAR SHARE where possible.

Local businesses have also kindly allowed us additional parking.




The Stomp HQ is located within a residential area and we kindly ask that you park considerately and do not block neighbour’s drives.

Registration will be open from 0730

  • Please allow yourself time to register before your planned start time.

At registration you will be given a coloured card which you will need to get stamped at the checkpoints along your route.  If the weather looks wet, we recommend you bring a suitable plastic wallet for your card.

The centre will be open from 0730 for participants to prepare.

It will help you (and us!) and save you time if you know your number.  For those who have entered online AND have opted to have they entry public, a register showing their entries and their assigned number can be found by clicking the tile link.

A list of names and numbers will be on display in the hall.


Stomp Route Starting Times

Start Times

  • 40km @ 0800-0900

  • 30km @ 0830-1000

  • 20km @ 0830-1030

  • 10km and 5km @ 0900-1030


Do not set off before the alloted time.

This is for your own safety and to allow marshals to reach the checkpoints.

We have changed the starting format this year.  Both walkers and runners can set off within the alloted times shown below.

All entrants must complete their course by 1600 and return to HQ to get booked back in.

Route Navigation

All the actual routes will be marked with coloured-coded tape and signs for you to follow on your way around.

5km=Purple , 10km=Yellow , 20km=Blue , 30km=Green, 40km=Pink

There will also be printed instructions available on the day for those who require them.

Versions in large print will be available upon request.


  • We do not publish routes in advance as they will not be finalised until shortly before the event.

  • We do not provide GPS route data.

Route Checkpoints

With the exception of the 5K route, there will be checkpoints along the routes.

You will need to get your Pink Card stamped at the checkpoints.


ALL participants (including the 5K) will need to get their card stamp on their return to the Amesbury Sports Centre to acknowledge they have finished their route.


There will be liquid refreshments at the checkpoints but in support of our waste policy, there will NOT be any disposable cups available.

We will be offering you the chance to purchase our own reusable cups at a very reasonable price at the sports hall (Limited availability & Not available at checkpoints) or alternately you can use your own water vessels.


We ask all participants to respect the Countryside Code.

If you are retiring from the event before completion, please either let the volunteers at the nearest checkpoint know or call us on the numbers on the route instructions and we will come out and pick you up.

We will be using The Amesbury Sports Centre as our base for The Stonehenge Stomp.
