Parking

Parking is EXTREMELY LIMITED.  Please car share or use public transport where possible.  Please park considerately.

CAR PARKS OPEN 0720 - PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE ANY EARLIER

SPORTS CENTRE OPENS 0730 

CAR PARK 1.  Stonehenge School,  SP4 7ND, access from London Road only. (Recommended for 40km Walkers)
CAR PARK 2.  Minton Distribution Park, SP4 7RT – Please only park where instructed

NOTE: ALL CAR PARKS WILL BE LOCKED AT 15:30 

We have kindly been allowed to use these car parks please do not leave any rubbish or items of clothing behind.
Please use Stomp car parks and avoid parking in residential streets.

The Stomp HQ is located within a residential area and we kindly ask that you park considerately and do not block neighbour’s drives.

Registration

THERE WILL BE NO ON THE DAY ENTRY.

In respect of the landscape and local communities, participant numbers are limited.  If you do not have pre-entry please DO NOT turn up on the day as this may jeopardise future events.  

The sports centre and registration will be open from 0730

Please allow yourself time to register before your planned start time.

All participants will register individually by surname, no paperwork is needed. 

 

If you wish to change distance, just tell us at registration. 

 

Route instructions and checkpoint card will be issued at registration.  If the weather looks wet, we recommend you bring a suitable plastic wallet.

Stomp Route Starting Times

Start Times - WALKERS

  • 40km @ 0800-0815

  • 30km @ 0800-0900

  • 20km @ 0800-0900

  • 10km and 5km @ 0930-1030

 DO NOT set off before your alloted time as checkpoints may not be open

Start Times - RUNNERS

  • 40km @ 0830-0900

  • 30km @ 0900-0930

  • 20km @ 0900-1000

  • 10km and 5km @ 1000-1030

 DO NOT set off before your alloted time as checkpoints may not be open

All entrants must complete their course by 1600 and return to HQ to get booked back in.

Route Navigation

All the actual routes will be marked with Stomp arrows and  coloured-coded flags for you to follow on your way around.

5km=Purple , 10km=Yellow , 20km=Blue , 30km=Green, 40km=Pink

There will also be printed instructions available on the day for those who require them.

Versions in large print will be available upon request.

 

We do not publish routes in advance as they will be finalised shortly before the event.

Route Checkpoints

Participants (excluding the 5km) can collect stamps on their checkpoint card (optional) from each check point along the route.

 

Water/squash will be available at checkpoints, but Stompers must bring their own cups or water containers as there will be NO disposable cups.

Our lightweight, collapsible, reusable Stonehenge Stomp cups will be available to purchase in the sports centre (not available at checkpoints). 

 

We ask all participants to respect the Countryside Code.

If you are retiring from the event before completion, please inform Stomp HQ via the number on the route instructions.

HQ Facilities

We will be using The Amesbury Sports Centre as our base for The Stonehenge Stomp (SP4 7ND).

This is where you will be signing in, starting the Stomp from and signing back in on your return.
