ROAD RUNNING & CROSS COUNTRY
We have a thriving distance Road Running division at the club, catering from those aspiring to international level right through to those running for the social benefit.
We have a dedicated team of UKA qualified Run Leaders (LiRF) and Coaches (CiRF) whom lead training on a regular weekly basis.
Whilst we compete in the Hampshire & District Road Race League, our members take part in several social events such as summer pub runs, quiz nights and more. We also provide by-weekly pacing to Salisbury parkrun.
The Cross-country season offers great opportunities for runners of all ages and abilities to get away from the road and race on totally different terrain over the winter months. With most events providing races from U13 to Senior level, cross country fixtures provide one of the few opportunities for club members from all age groups to compete and mix together, often with three family members to be found competing in three different age groups!
From October to February each year, we compete in regular cross-country fixtures as part of the Hampshire Cross Country League , arguably the strongest league in the South of England, as well as participating in the Wiltshire Cross Country Championships each December. Many athletes go on to represent Wiltshire at Regional and National level.
