Weekend results 15 & 16 May 2021

Another weekend of fabulous achievements from the CoSARC athletes. This weekend saw a range of distances raced from 5k, 10k, half marathon to athletes participating in their first 50k.

The Reading Goring Gap 50k Ultra saw Heather and Vicky participate in their first ultra race, which was described as a beautiful route along the Thames Path and into the Chiltern Hills and comes highly recommended by our CoSARC ladies.

Vicky Robinson: Chip time 5:30:21 PB and 5th in F45 age category

Heather Hitchins: Chip time 5:44:25 PB and 3rd in F50 age category

We also had saw Dave and Nick participate in the Run Reading Goring Gap Half Marathon.

Dave Gervais: Chip time 1:37:34 PB (big 4 min PB)

Nick Lay: Chip time 1:48:29 4th in M50 age category, not quite a PB this time, but blames trying to keep up with Dave!

Two more recording smashing PBs came from Chris and Marc at the Air 10k Kew Gardens, who took 32nd and 28th place out of a field of 1392.

Chris Maple: Chip time 38:10 PB 2nd in V45-49 age category (last PB was 40:44)

Marc Hankins: Chip time 37:50 PB (last PB was 39:34).

Holywell Brutal 10k which was described as a half swim, half run race with I believe a fair bit of mud involved saw Stuart take 2nd place and Reece 5th place overall.

Stuart Holloway: Chip time 51:27

Reece Ingram: Chip time 54:01

Aaron attended a government mass testing event at Kempton Racecourse the Reunion 5k. He came 10th out of a field of 784.
