Wessex Young Athletes League Match
There were many outstanding performances by CoSARC’s juniors in the Wessex Young Athletes League match at Aldershot. The pick of them were : Emily Bryant 1st in 100m and 200m. Jayden and Ashton Main 800m PBs. Art Mitchell Long Jump 1st. Jasper Robinson Javelin 1st. Jacob Earle 300m PB. Charlie Coles 800m 1st. Joseph Holme 1st 800m and Javelin. Luca Baker PBs 100m and 200m. Tyler Robinson PBs 200m and 400m. Will Miles PB 800m. Joseph Pratt 800m 1st. Cameron Jacobs PB 1500m. Emily Bryant 1st 100m and 200m. Beth Bament 1st 200m and 2nd 100m. Kaitlin Miller Shot 1st. Florence Watling Javelin 1st. Yashvi Patel PBs in 100m and 200m.
The Quadkids squad consisted of Martha Makin, Alexa Main, Fiona Taylor, Sophie Harvey, Rory Marks, Jack Spencer & Lawrie Holmes. They all acquitted themselves extremely well in the 75m, Long Jump, Vortex throw and 600m.
In the U13 Boys the team competed in two or three events each, plus the relay run. Jayden and Ashton Main both scored PBs in the 800m, Art Mitchell won the Long Jump B-string & Jasper Robinson won the Javelin B-string.
In the U15 Boys, Jacob Earle won the 300m B string in a PB of 43.25, Charlie Coles won the 800m A-string and Joseph Holme the 800m and Javelin B-string. James Gabriel had a strong run in the 1500m with 5.11.
In the U17 Men Luca Baker ran double PBs in the 100m (12.25) and 200m (25.06) and Tyler Robinson also double PB’d in the 200m (29.09) and 400m (62.63). A gutsy run from Will Miles saw him PB in the 800m with 2:26.5. Joseph Pratt, in his first match for the club won the 800m B-string. Cameron Jacobs PB'd in the 1500m, and came close to breaking 5 minutes. Ollie Parkes doubled up in the 800m and 1500m. Kieran McCullam jumped 1.55m for 2nd in the High Jump.
In the U13 Girls Emily Bryant won the 100m and 200m A-string, and Beth Bament won the 200m and placed 2nd in the 100m B-strings. Iris Miles and Indigo Badger had promising runs in the 800m, Olivia Barnett and Elara Jacobs both placed second in the 1200m A and B strings respectively.
In the U15 Girls, Jess Martin finished 5th in a very strong 1500m field. Kaitlin Miller won the Shot & Florence Watling the Javelin.
In the U17 Women Yashvi Patel, ran big PBs in both the 100m (14.10) and 200m (28.96).
The team of officials and volunteers consisted of Denise von Roretz, Chief Track Referee for the host club, Jill Coles, Field Officials Team Leader, Richard Davidson Team Manager, Charlie Boardman and Andy Makin Quadkids Chaperones. Alresford 10K
In the Arlesford 10k CoSARC was represented by : Ben Saunby 34:27 3rd overall. Peter Callanan 37:35. Reece Ingram 39:24. Ollie Stone 39:34. Matthew Gervais 39:45 PB. Dave Gervais 40:07 4th in age. Tarrant Monkton 10K
On the undulating trails in Cranbourne Chase Ruth Holloway won the Tarrant Monkton 10K women’s race in 45:26.
South West Competition 3000m
In the South West Competition 3000m Lizzie Norton finished 3rd in 10:09 and qualified for the English Schools Nationals in July.
Parkrun PB
At Salisbury parkrun Tyler Robinson ran a PB time of 20:41.
