The City of Salisbury Athletic and Running Club (ARC) was formed in 1994 with the amalgamation of Sarum Striders and Salisbury and District Athletics Club.

The Club is affiliated to England Athletics and comes under England Athletics Southwest Region for administrative purposes. This provides insurance cover for the Club and its members when taking part in Club organised training sessions and England Athletic sponsored events.
