Cross Country Results
We hope to be able to provide a
summary of the 2010 season here very soon
Winter 2008/9 saw the club completing its first season in the highly
competitive Hampshire Cross Country League following a move from the
Wessex League. Despite some consistent performances, the men's team
just missed out on promotion to Division 2 but will be back in the
Autumn!
For the first time since 2004, the club hosted the Wiltshire County
Championships, which attracted a strong contingent of Salisbury runners
competing on the Hudson's Field course. Some excellent performances
across all age groups including 2nd and 4th places for Alex
Mundell and Lizzie Clifford in the U13G race, 4th place for
Charlotte Williamson in the U17 race and 4th place (1st Vet) for Ian
Stott in the Senior Men's race.
The club was also well represented at county level in both the South
West Inter-Counties and the National Inter-Counties Championships with
a total of 15 athletes being selected for county honours. Once again, Alex
Mundell performed outstandingly well to take second place by
only 2 seconds at the South West Inter Counties.
